Obor’s design is our flagship. Thanks to an in-depth study, the artificial sources of light such as lamps and chandeliers mixed with the natural lighting as well, aim to catch the peculiarities of daylight (with windows, skylights, etc.) keeping it as the main source of illumination.
Obor’s main objective is to promote proper lighting to improve both the environmental appearance as well as the professional activities that take place there. We always keep in mind that a well-lit environment has a positive effect both for the aesthetics and for the psyche of the attendants.
Our story
Obor was founded in the ’50s to offer the best technology and design in the lighting field, giving life to light forms and creations.
Founded by Mario Picone, in the beginning, the company imports the first fluorescent tubes from the United States. From the ’60s, Obor starts its decorative lamps and recessed spots production, all with futuristic designs and giving a creative cue to many other lamp producers founded in those days.
Obor offers many products from the most important lighting companies. Lately, the company enriched its custom research laboratory creating custom-made high-tech equipment.
Given the high construction quality of its appliances and those on sale as standard, Obor is a certified company.
